Prayer Log

Now that we are two in agreement, it's time to pray.
Dear Heavenly Father: we come humbly before your throne because Your Son gave us the right to do so by His sacrifice on the cross. We are distressed in our hearts by the things we see happening in the world, even though You warned us in your Word that such things would come to pass. We cannot simply stand by and watch what you gave us be threatened by those who would kill us simply because we claim Your son as our Lord and Savior. So we come to You with these fears and ask Your guidance. You created all things and You gave us this beautiful nation; we know that Your government and kingdom is above all earthly kingdoms and Your ways are not our ways. It pains us that so many would sow the seeds of unrest and hate in the name of a god who does not exist, and we ask that Your Holy Spirit shed light into the hearts and minds of these people and all who find themselves under their sway. We claim the promises that Jesus made, and we understand the power in His Name to ask for these things because they were bought and paid for by His precious blood. Make us an instrument of your peace and bring whosoever You wish to this forum and let it be for your glory. Amen.

A Note On Prayer

So, why pray? Does it work? Absolutely. We are never more dangerous to the enemies of God than when we are on our knees. That is what the Gospel armor is, and we are armed and dangerous when we take up the authority that Jesus died to give us. In the spiritual realm, when we pray we are literally camped at the gates of Hell. Pretty cool, huh?
Does God answer prayers? Yes. Every single one. He created the Universe, he can sure get you that ten bucks you need. Does He always say yes? No. Everyone has experienced that. Sometimes He asks us to wait. Sometimes the things we pray for are the very things that would be worst for us to receive.
Prayer is powerful. It moves the hand that moves the world. That is how we are going to defeat the spread of Islam in this country, not with bombs or armies, but by prayer and the Word of God. Jesus said in Matt 18:20-For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there I am in the midst of them. Many Christians do not fully understand the power of agreement, and never in history was there a time when it can do more than now. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that I will do, that the Father be glorified in the Son. We've got His word on it, all we need to do is pray. Prayer changes things.
